2005 to 2006 Rhinoceros

This year we performed a modern classic. This play is from the 1960s Theatre of the Absurd School. Eugene Ionesco's study of fascism set in a seeming innocent quiet French town. The challenge for us this time was to create a strong sense of the juxtaposition between the idyllic village life and the brutality of fascism symbolised by the arrival of a Rhinoceros. We used sound and lighting effects.

Rhinoceros was performed at Norden Farm Arts Centre, Maidenhead, Beacon Centre, Beaconsfield, and formed a workshop for Burnham Opportunities Centre and Oakbridge Centre.
